VAGA is a web-accessible image database designed to enhance teaching and learning with digital media. VAGA provides instructors with the ability to access, create, share and present high quality digital media both in and outside of the classroom. VAGA was originally designed to support the needs of art historians but offers many relevant features for all types of instructors.

VAGA provides some of the following features:

  • A course centric organization of digital galleries
  • Instructor course galleries for in class presentations.
  • Ability to move or copy galleries to other courses.
  • Ability for a dual projector classroom presentation.
  • Private gallery creation for research.
  • Text slides, images or video files can make up a gallery.
  • Discussion boards options for course galleries.
  • Self-assessment tools for student examine preparation.
